Maynard answered the Blue Devils score with one of its own, marching 62 yards in six plays, quarterback Zach Boerman hitting Shawn Kennedy with a 10-yard touchdown pass for the game-winning points with 18 seconds to play. After trailing for much of the game, Murdock took a 31-30 lead with 2:01 to play on a 2-yard run by Travis Arsenault and an extra point by Pat Culverhouse. “We came out at halftime believing we could win the game and we fought hard, as hard as we could to come back and we fell just short.” The Blue Devils fell to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the Mid-Wach D with the loss, while Maynard improved to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in league play with the win. ![]() “That was a good football game,” Murdock head coach Rob Allard said afterward.
